As already mentioned in our previous articles, qualified health care workers are now more needed than ever in Germany. To counteract the shortage of skilled workers, we are launching an au pair program for nurses and health care workers:



With the Aupair program for young foreign nurses, you, as a host family, support young people who, as specialists, urgently need Germany. This gives au pairs the opportunity to get to know life and work in Germany, to improve their knowledge of German and to gain an interesting insight into another culture. They have a basic knowledge of the German language, have experience in childcare and are between 18 and 26 years old. During the stay with the host families, Galean Consulting supports au pairs in preparing for a job in Germany and in recognizing their qualifications.



In the host family, an aupair is a temporary family member who helps with looking after the children and in the household. The help of the au pair is on average 5-6 hours a day or 30 hours a week. The au pair should have at least one and a half consecutive days off per week. An au pair does small household chores, prepares meals for the children, looks after them and accompanies them to kindergarten and school.



What can the au pair expect from you?

The au pair is a “temporary family member” and should be treated accordingly.

The host family provides him / her with free accommodation in a separate room.

An aupair takes part in the family's daily meals and receives pocket money of around € 260 per month.

The family also contributes to the cost of language courses, which are usually € 50 / month.

In addition, the host family pays the travel costs to the language school and health insurance.

We recommend paying the full cost of a language course and / or paying for the arrival and departure of the au pair!



The placement fees for the host families are approximately € 350.
